Ma-a consisted of 4 performaces, 1 of mine and 3 other. Artists were invited to perform their own pieces to the gallery while my own performance lasted the whole duration of the exhibition. Ma-a contained found materials, magazine with pictures and text, diary, video and various instruments. I worked in the space by playing, moving, adding and removing elements. Throughout the process, I kept a diary of movements that happened in the space. The name of the exhibition comes from combination of Japanese term “ma” and a finnish word “maa” which in translated means earth, world or ground.
